The Way Political Campaigning Should Be

In its recent piece on Marina Silva, Time Magazine briefly mentioned a candidate for the Sao Paulo state legislature, Paulo Batista, who is making a name for himself with his superpowers – basically, his privatizing rays, capable of destroying communists on sight, turn good-for-nothing street demonstrators into college graduates, and transforming rickety rail systems into ultra-modern ones. And he can fly, too.

I hope some candidate for public office in the US did something like this. I prefer it over the typical mudslinging spot or the equally common self-aggrandizing ad chock-full of talking points and platitudes. It would make campaign season fun.
